Our involvement toward Safety

There is a risk of operational incidents in each stage of the oil and natural gas development business: exploration, development, production, and abandonment. We properly manage such risks and work hard to secure the safe operations maintaining proper working environment.

Operations Safety

We conduct various HSE risk evaluations in the project planning stage of the oil and natural gas exploration and production business, identify the risks, and prepare the measures to reduce those risks. In addition, we make all staff who are engaged in operations aware of the identified HSE risks and measures through HSE training, HSE meetings, and briefing sessions that take place before work commences, making the effectiveness of the measures more certain.

For further reduction of the operational risks we promote HSE system and operational procedure such as STOP*1, JSA*2, and PTW*3 and managers at JX Nippon branch offices evaluate their staff members' competency, and provide the training program to ensure conducting the operations properly fulfilling HSE requirements.
